4079 is a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.

Oddly 4079 had its DDA compliance updated by having its doors repainted from red with the yellow Metro M triangle to fully yellow, new door buttons and door window surrounds installed before it had LED displays installed instead of all the slight modification being done at the same time.
