Why not Wikipedia?

The Tyne and Wear Metro wiki is fundamentally very similar to Wikipedia. In fact, it uses the exact same MediaWiki software. However, it is not a replacement for Wikipedia's articles related to the Tyne and Wear Metro, and both serve a purpose.
