Tynemouth

Tynemouth is a station on the coastal part of the North Tyneside Loop on the Yellow Line. It was built by the North Eastern Railway, later passing into LNER and British Rail ownership, however unlike the other stations on the North Tyneside Loop, Tynemouth station did not close for conversion to Metro, with the last British Rail service operating the day before the first Metro service.
