Manors Link Line

From Tyne and Wear Metro wiki

The Manors Link Line (also known as the Manors Curve, Manors Chord or New Bridge Street curve) is a 1235m[1] stretch of track that connects Manors station to West Jesmond station via the old Jesmond mainline station and Jesmond Junction (JJC). It is used exclusively by empty coaching stock, such as before start of service, after end of service, or for returning failed trains to Gosforth Depot. The part of the curve nearest Manors is the tightest curve on the Metro network, and that part of the curve is permanently speed limited to 10 km/h.[2]
