4016 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
Oddly when 4016 had its DDA compliance updated by having its doors repainted from blue with the yellow Metro M triangle to fully yellow it kept the Metro M triangles and was one of the last unit's to have them.
