4017 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
Oddly when 4017 had its DDA compliance updated by having its doors repainted from red with the yellow Metro M triangle to fully yellow it had the repaint, new door buttons and door window surrounds done before it received LED displays instead of all the slight modification being done at the same time.
