4025 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
4025 was used as an experiment during its refurbishment in 2002 where the 6 openable hopper windows in the centre of the 2 carriages were replaced with regular non-hopper windows that couldn't be opened and the 2 end windows in each of the 2 cars near to the articulation point were replaced with openable hopper windows but the plan was scrapped before the refurbishment was completed and the windows were replaced with 2 fixed windows near to the articulation joint of each car and 6 openable hopper windows in the middle of each car most like due to how hot it would of got with only 4 openable windows at the end of each carriage close to the articulation point with most people being near the middle of each carriage.
