4027 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
Oddly when 4027 had LED displays and door window surrounds installed before its doors repainted from the NER cream and maroon to fully yellow to be complient DDA at the time and new door buttons installed instead of all the slight modification being done at the same time.
