4081 is a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.

Oddly 4081 had its DDA compliance updated by having its doors repainted from blue with the yellow Metro M triangle to fully yellow, new door buttons and door window surrounds installed before it had LED displays installed instead of all the slight modification being done at the same time and it was one of the last units to retain its roller blind destination displays and flip counter train number displays.
