4084 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
Strangely 4084 was delivered without any PTE or Tyne and Wear Metro logos and ran like this for a bit.
In January 2009 4084 and 4083 were involved in a power fault where 4084 lost power to the interior light and the displays with all the passengers being forced to ride on 4083 and 4084 being shut to passengers.
