4006 was a production Metrocar built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
Oddly when 4006 had its doors repainted from red with the yellow Metro M triangle to fully yellow to be complient DDA at the time it had the repaint done before it received new door buttons, door window surrounds and LED displays instead of all the slight modification being done at the same time.
