Tyne and Wear Metro App
From Tyne and Wear Metro wiki
The Tyne and Wear Metro App was the official mobile app for the Tyne and Wear Metro, available for iOS on the Apple App Store and for Android on the Google Play Store. It was developed by HaCon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH on behalf of Nexus. It featured timetables, a journey planner, and real-time service status updates. The app was available as early as 1 March 2017.[1] In September 2020, a feature allowing users to rate how busy each Metro station is on a scale of 1 to 10 was added to help people identify quieter times during the COVID-19 pandemic.[2] On 30 January 2023, the original app was entirely replaced by the Pop app (automatically on iOS and through notifications on Android).[3]
