Gosforth top shed

Gosforth top shed is a plant, equipment and overhead line maintenance depot owned and maintained by Nexus.
It has two roads, a neck (the "oil neck"[OR]), and a headshunt linking both roads and the neck. It is located to the southwest of Gosforth Depot, adjacent to the Green Line between South Gosforth and Regent Centre. It is linked by rail to both Gosforth Depot and the main line via Gosforth West Head.[1] However, it is not officially part of Gosforth Depot for maintenance, asset management or signalling purposes.[OR]
It is accessible on foot and road from Wolveleigh Terrace.
As of 22 July 2026, it is home to the maintenance vehicles BL3, HCT035, MA03, MA27 and MA60.[OR]
